Arizona Hit and Run Bicycle Accident Critically Injures Cyclist

Car accidents are responsible for an incredible amount of deaths in the United States. Just in 2009, 33,808 people died in car accidents. One might think that responsibility is the first thing expected from such accidents, but it is surprising how until today people still avoid their responsibilities such as cases of hit and run accidents.

An Arizona hit and run bicycle accident had occurred in Surprise recently, when a car hit a bicycle on the road and left the victim there to suffer from his injuries. Authorities of Surprise reported that the incident had left the bicyclist in critical condition. The victim was found and brought to a local hospital and is still in extremely serious condition.

According to reports, the bicyclist had only been biking on the Friendship Bridge close to 115th Avenue, and as he did so, he was struck violently by an eastbound pickup truck. Witnesses told Surprise police that the driver went out of his way to take a look at the victim and the damage done and after doing so he got back into his car and drove away. According to the Surprise police, a search is now on for the vehicle and the driver. They are on the lookout for a dark pickup truck, with perhaps a side mirror missing or damage to its lights.
