According to AZCentral, a woman has been injured after her car collided with a tree in Goodyear when she reportedly lost control of her vehicle. Officials also say that she may not have been wearing a seatbelt. The woman was airlifted to a hospital in Phoenix for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The accident is still being investigated by officials.
Although the crash is still under investigation, and there are many possible reasons as to the cause, authorities did say that the cause of the woman’s injuries may have been because she was not wearing a seat belt. Wearing a seat belt can significantly reduce the injuries to occupants of vehicles; however, there are many people who are wearing their seatbelt and still sustain significant injuries.
