As Pinal County car accident attorneys, we are familiar with the factors that can lead to a crash; one of them being poor weather conditions. Just recently, a massive dust storm hit I-10 south of Phoenix causing multiple crashes, killing one, and leaving a number of people injured.
As reported by AZ Family, the incident took place Tuesday, October 4, 2011, when the dust storm surged into the area and reduced roadway visibility. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) stated that 16 vehicles were involved in the multiple car wrecks.
One of the occupants who sustained fatal injuries is reported to be a 66-year-old Texas man who died after his car struck a large truck. It was reported that the man was with his wife at the time of the crash and that she was in critical condition. In addition to these two individuals, others were injured as well.
The wreck closed the freeway and the DPS advised motorists to take State Route 79 as an alternative roadway.
Our sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and we are praying for the speedy recovery of all of those hurt in the incident.
