In recent news, AZFamily reports a bus accident in Mesa which involved a high school student who was hit by a school bus while crossing the street. It was reported that the bus driver was attempting a left hand turn and did not see the student who was in the crosswalk. After the 18-year-old was hit by the bus, she became trapped in between the wheel well and the tires of the bus. It was a good thing that the bus driver had the sense to immediately stop the bus after he felt that he had hit something; and therefore, the girl was not run over. She was airlifted to a hospital and is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Contact an Experienced Mesa Personal Injury Attorney
An experienced Mesa school bus accident attorney will be able to evaluate this accident and make sure that no statute of limitations is missed. This girl or her family should talk to an attorney as soon as they are able to if they would like to consider filing a claim because it is likely that the girl only has 180 days in which to file what is called a notice of claim against the bus driver and most likely the school district of Mesa as well. It may be that if a notice of claim is not filed correctly and against the proper parties that the girl will lose her claim for the injuries caused by the Mesa pedestrian accident.
